The Direct Selling Association sought a payments partner to help direct selling companies grow online revenue, reduce transaction costs, and simplify payments for independent consultants using replicated personal websites and ship‑direct orders. ProPay responded with tailored payment APIs and products — including ProtectPay®, SplitPay™ and SpendBack™ — to address PCI compliance, enable consultant-owned storefronts, and support split and account‑based payments for distributors.
ProPay’s implementations delivered measurable results: one customer (“Company A”) grew online retail credit‑card sales by ~25% (≈$30M) over three years and boosted online share from 21% to over 50% of retail credit sales by Q1 2013; SplitPay generated roughly $10M and $25M in split funds for two customers in 2012 with estimated fee savings of about $200K and $500K; three customers using SpendBack converted large volumes to SpendBack dollars and together saved more than $1.2M in card fees in 2012. Overall, ProPay reports SplitPay and SpendBack processed over $150M and saved direct selling clients more than $2M in 2012.
