Volkswagen turned to Propane Studio to create a car-connected Android app that linked a driver’s phone with VW infotainment systems. The goal was to let drivers and passengers record, produce, and share music from inside the car, while also earning badges through fun challenges.

Propane Studio designed the full experience and visual system for the app, including typography, iconography, animations, and the ability to record and share 30-second tracks on SoundCloud. The result was a music experience driven by car data such as speed, acceleration, and steering angle, and the app achieved 10,000+ downloads while earning praise from both drivers and passengers.
