dc16 union, a collective of trade unions, needed a new website to build pride among its members and provide vital resources while also attracting new members and developers. The challenge was to create unity and trust within the organization, as members were loyal to their local unions but not to the larger DC16 council that collects their dues and negotiates on their behalf. They partnered with Propane Studio for this workforce transformation project.

Propane Studio devised a strategy to bridge journeyworkers' pride in their craft with pride in the larger DC16 team. The solution included a responsive site with easily navigable resources, a transparent section on where dues are allocated, and consistent messaging about the high performance and value of union work. The results were an easily referenceable site for members and a platform that effectively communicates the quality of union work to outsider audiences.
