USAmeriBank, a regional bank serving Florida and Alabama, needed enterprise-grade email security and compliance that a one-person IT team could manage. With its prior solution reaching end of life, the bank sought a single vendor to block advanced inbound threats, secure outbound messages containing PII/PCI, and simplify management during an upcoming migration to Microsoft 365.
The bank deployed Proofpoint Essentials Advanced, using URL Defense, DLP and policy-based encryption to automatically protect users and encrypt sensitive emails; migration to Office 365 was handled simply by routing mail through Proofpoint. The solution was easy to deploy and support, stopped an average of 500–600 unwanted or malicious messages per day, secured communications, and consolidated email security under a single, manageable platform.
