Proofpoint Helps Leading Australian Governance Organization Protect Employees and Citizens

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), a leading governance body, needed to protect its employees, members and brand from sophisticated email threats while operating with a small IT team. Their challenge was to secure a Microsoft 365 environment, stop phishing and fraud targeting high‑profile users, and rely on automation to detect and remediate attacks quickly.

AICD deployed Proofpoint’s email security suite—Email Protection, Targeted Attack Protection, Email Fraud Defense, Threat Response Auto‑Pull, Internal Mail Defense and Security Awareness Training—which enabled automated detection, removal and user education. In a recent 90‑day review Proofpoint protected against more than 3 million threats (including 80,000 known threats and over 7,000 targeted attacks), streamlined DMARC rollout, identified 50 “Very Attacked People” and saved the equivalent of about 1.5 full‑time employees through automation.
