MyHeritage, a global leader in family history with 93 million users, 40 million family trees and 8.4 billion historical records, supports 420 employees across Israel, North America and Europe. Nearly 100 sales and support staff needed reliable access to applications and data in two data centers but faced multiple VPN solutions, slow and unreliable connections, frequent client breakages after OS updates, broad subnet access that created security risks, and high help-desk and IT management overhead.

MyHeritage replaced its VPNs with Proofpoint Meta and lightweight MetaPort gateways, onboarding managed devices with a single Meta client and providing browser-based access for unmanaged devices so users connect once to reach only the applications they’re authorized to use. The change delivered a single logical network, reduced latency through global POPs, simplified management and a stable client unaffected by OS updates, improved security via a software-defined perimeter, and higher productivity for sales and support.
