A Proofpoint Case Study

Preview of the Vernalis Case Study

Keeping Research and Development Secured from Human Error

Vernalis Plc, a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company with multiple marketed products and an active R&D pipeline, needed to protect highly sensitive project information from accidental disclosure. Concerned about the risks of misaddressed emails, the IT team evaluated vendors and selected Tessian for its machine-learning approach to preventing human error in email.

Tessian was deployed to 125 users across three Vernalis sites in the UK and US, using Guardian and Constructor plus custom compliance rules to detect and prevent misaddressed emails and other risky email activity. The rollout has reduced the company’s exposure to human error-related incidents and given Vernalis a more accurate, automated way to secure sensitive communications.
