GoCardless, a global leader in recurring payments serving 55,000+ businesses and processing $18 billion annually across 30+ countries, was facing persistent email risks from human error and targeted attacks. Their existing, largely rule-based tools and reliance on self-reporting provided limited visibility and control, leaving misdirected emails, data exfiltration and spear-phishing insufficiently detected and remedied.
To address this, GoCardless deployed Tessian Guardian, Enforcer and Defender (450-user deployment), leveraging machine-learning Human Layer Security Intelligence that integrates with Splunk and requires little admin overhead. Tessian revealed many more incidents than employees had self-reported, improved inbound and outbound protection, empowered users, and provided richer data for policy updates and investigations—materially strengthening GoCardless’s email security posture and reducing the risk and potential cost of a breach.
