WellSpan deployed Proofpoint Email Protection (cutting over via an MX record change), which immediately caught far more spam, phishing and malware—including more than 12,000 ransomware-bearing emails—put bulk mail into user digests (cutting inbox volume by about 50%), and fed real-time data to the SIEM. The result: thousands of attacks prevented, faster, more proactive security operations, better reporting for management, and more team time to focus on strategic security work while protecting patient data.
