Ariston Group, a global leader in heating and water‑heating solutions with ~8,000 employees, 25 production sites and 26 R&D centers, needed a more proactive, predictive approach to cybersecurity. The company’s goal was to stop phishing and advanced email attacks before they reach users, educate a diverse global workforce on security best practices, and improve the efficiency of its ICT security team.
Ariston deployed Proofpoint’s suite—Security Awareness Training, Email Protection, Targeted Attack Protection (TAP), Threat Response Auto‑Pull (TRAP) and Email Fraud Defense—backed by Proofpoint Professional Services to implement SPF/DKIM and a DMARC reject policy. Within months the rollout was complete and, over a year, phishing‑simulation reporting rose dramatically, malicious emails delivered to inboxes fell substantially, and unauthorized messages to Ariston’s domain dropped to near zero.
