Arm, the global chip-to-cloud technology company with ~6,000 people across 20 markets and 41 offices, needed to harden its information security without undermining a high-trust, collaborative culture. CISO Tim Fitzgerald focused on the fundamentals—particularly email, the most common channel for human error—and sought an intelligent, real-time way to surface contextual risk to reduce data loss and risky behavior.

Arm ran a Tessian proof-of-concept and then deployed Tessian’s ML-powered Human Layer Security (Guardian and Defender). By retroactively analyzing historic email data and delivering in-the-moment warnings and controls, Tessian retrained users’ email behavior and blocked common mistakes—preventing hundreds of misdirected messages (e.g., 972 prevented) and protecting over 105,000 emails—while aligning security with Arm’s values.
