Baxter Credit Union (BCU), one of the country's largest credit unions, faced a challenge with its auto loan financing process. The requirement for members to sign and notarize paper power of attorney (POA) forms created delays, increased loan risk, and provided a poor member experience. BCU discovered Proof (formerly Notarize) while seeking a solution to streamline this cumbersome, paper-based notarization workflow.

By implementing Proof's online notarization service, BCU transformed its process. What previously took days to complete on paper was reduced to an average of 15 minutes, with documents sent directly into BCU's system. This solution significantly reduced loan risk by ensuring lien forms were completed promptly. The vendor, Proof, also helped BCU champion the acceptance of electronically notarized documents with DMVs nationwide. The success led to a tripling of internal users and plans to expand Proof's use to other departments.
