Mitchell Services, a Brisbane‑based surface and underground drilling services provider with over 350 employees, faced operational strain from rapid growth: five standalone systems, duplicated manual data entry, slow applications and heavy spreadsheet use that caused errors and delays. To solve this, Mitchell Services chose Pronto Software and its ERP Pronto Xi (hosted via Pronto Cloud) to replace disparate systems and provide integrated payroll, billing, mobile access and maintenance functionality.

Pronto Software implemented Pronto Xi with project costing, plant maintenance, electronic workflows and integrated timesheets/billing, reducing process times from days to hours and eliminating keying errors. Measurable results include processing payroll for more than twice the number of employees in the same or less time, tripling complex sales orders, increasing monthly timesheets from ~2,500 to ~8,500 and daily drill logs from under 500 to 1,500, and boosting monthly pre-starts from ~1,800 to nearly 6,000 — all while keeping staffing efficient (1 payroll officer, 2 revenue officers).
