Carbatec, an Australian family‑run retailer and wholesaler of woodworking tools with eight stores and a large online presence, saw pandemic demand spike while supply chains left about half its normal stock depleted. The surge exposed years of customised, inconsistent systems that limited visibility for sales reps and head‑office staff; already a Pronto Software customer, Carbatec needed better inventory control, forecasting and mobile access to operate confidently through disruption.
Pronto Software migrated Carbatec to cloud‑hosted Pronto Xi, standardised the solution, enabled WebUI access and two‑factor authentication, and deployed WMS, TIG Freight integration and advanced DRP/forecasting. The change delivered measurable gains: nightly DRP and 18‑month forecasting for cash‑flow modelling, warehouse teams finishing up to two hours early some days, fewer pick errors, reduced paper use, increased capacity without extra hires and faster customer service through integrated delivery tracking.
