Harnessing business consolidation to secure efficiency and support growth

Bunzl Safety, a long‑standing Australian supplier of work wear, PPE and safety services, faced inefficiency and poor visibility after acquiring three separate businesses that each ran distinct Pronto Xi instances. The fragmented systems drove higher costs, inconsistent processes and made consolidated reporting and management difficult. Bunzl Safety engaged Pronto Software to evaluate options and ultimately retain and standardize on the Pronto Xi ERP environment (with Pronto Cloud hosting) to address the challenge.

Pronto Software led an end‑to‑end consolidation—merging data into a single Pronto Xi database, aligning business processes and migrating users (the first subsidiary on Pronto Xi within 18 months and the remaining two four months later). The result was a single source of truth for 231 users (including a 50‑strong field sales force), remote CRM access, automated EDI order processing and freight integrations, faster customer responses and more efficient dispatch. The consolidation on Pronto Xi and Pronto Cloud improved operational clarity and resilience, enabling Bunzl Safety to pursue growth and future acquisitions.
