Gasweld Tool Centre, one of Australia’s largest specialist gas, welding and tools suppliers with 170 staff across 19 stores, needed to cut intensive manual work, streamline inventory and warehouse processes, and scale its online sales while giving staff timely access to business information. To address these challenges Gasweld engaged Pronto Software and selected its Pronto Xi business management suite (including Financials, Point of Sale, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, the Avenue ecommerce module and BI functionality).
Pronto Software implemented Pronto Xi and BI (using IBM Cognos) to integrate front- and back-end systems, automate reporting and provide real‑time visibility. As a result Gasweld now tracks ~150,000 core products (over 300,000 on the database), brings new staff to productivity in two days instead of six months, automates online order processing, reduces administrative headcount and delivers scheduled, actionable reports—enabling faster, smarter decisions and scalable growth without increasing staff.
