Dixon Group, a long-standing Canadian supplier of industrial hose fittings with manufacturing and distribution centres across four provinces, was struggling with two heavily modified, disparate IT systems—one for distribution and one for manufacturing—that required manual consolidation and prevented real‑time visibility of stock and reliable backorder processing. Looking for an ERP that provided stock‑in‑hand and stock‑available‑to‑promise data and first‑come, first‑served batch backorder handling, Dixon engaged Pronto Software (via its Canadian partner PSA Inc.) and evaluated the Pronto Xi platform.
