Vega-Absolute - Customer Case Study

Vega-Absolute, a Russian manufacturer of security and vehicle electronics, needed a compact, ergonomic, and stylish enclosure design for a car alarm key fob based on an existing PCB. The challenge included supporting a replaceable display and LED indication, easy battery replacement, keychain attachment, and protection against accidental button presses. Promwad was brought in to develop the enclosure concept and industrial design.

Promwad created and refined multiple 3D enclosure concepts, then worked with Vega-Absolute to select a more classical, durable, and symmetrical direction with a more prominent antenna area, integrated keychain hook, and aligned button layout. The final design was further adjusted to enlarge the display, increase button size, and improve the ring and antenna elements. The result was a modernized key fob enclosure design aligned with the customer’s product requirements, though the case study does not provide quantified performance metrics.
