A Promwad Case Study
The customer, Vadatech, a system integrator and distributor, faced the challenge of designing a MicroTCA-based system to transfer ADC data in blocks between an FPGA and a CPU with a defined latency. They engaged the vendor Promwad to develop the necessary firmware and software for this complex embedded system.
Promwad developed a solution consisting of FPGA firmware and Linux-based software to manage data transfer and system configuration. They implemented three operational modes, overcame significant technical hurdles in data resampling and path simulation, and ensured the system met its requirement for delays of less than 1 ms. As a result, Promwad delivered a complete, ready-to-use system for end-to-end data collection and transmission to their client Vadatech.
