Promwad worked with a US Based Startup Company that wanted to demonstrate Android on a hardware demo board for presentation use. Their challenge was to adapt the Linux kernel on the OMAP Stalker board so it could support Android and the startup’s mobile platform goals.

Promwad used Linux 2.6.32 from the linux-omap project as the base kernel, applied Android-specific patches, and fixed several low-level Android startup and sleep-mode issues. Promwad also enabled USB OTG host mode for removable devices, delivering a working Android demo platform with multimedia functionality in just 1 month, using 1 man/month of effort.
