Treatface, a Russian company that develops instrumentation and systems for ensuring the reliability and safety of applications, data, networks, and network equipment, needed a prototype network traffic analyzer that could be placed in a network connection gap and support a BYPASS function. Promwad was engaged to develop the prototype platform for this network monitoring solution.

Promwad built the hardware and software platform to the required specifications, including Debian Linux, a Marvell 1.6 GHz processor, 1 GB DDR3 memory, 2 GB flash, dual independent Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, USB 2.0 Host support, and a 5V external power supply. As a result, Treatface received a set of debugged prototypes to use as the basis for a new device in its network monitoring product line.
