Promwad designed a hardware platform for SONOVTS Media GmbH, the German company behind the HDQLINE professional broadcast display. The client needed to redesign their product's core board to natively support both SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 IP broadcast standards, moving away from a costly two-chip architecture and an optional expansion module to meet industry procurement trends.

The solution was a consolidated hardware design based on a single AMD Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC. Promwad delivered a manufacturing-ready board that integrates all required video inputs and outputs, including dedicated hardware for ST 2110 transport. This gave SONOVTS a streamlined hardware base for their next-generation displays, reducing component count and incorporating new features like a low-power sleep state.
