SemiDevices launches DVB-T/C + IPTV STB reference design in 24h with Promwad

Promwad was engaged by SemiDevices to create a reference design for a digital set-top box (STB) that supports both DVB-T/C and IPTV standards. The customer's challenge was to rapidly develop and launch a new series of branded digital devices capable of playing both standard and high-definition video.

The solution implemented by Promwad was a hardware platform based on the STMicroelectronics STi7167 processor with software built on Linux. This reference design provided SemiDevices with a complete and ready-to-use foundation, enabling them to accelerate their platform development and successfully bring their new product series to market.
