The Promwad team sought to create an engineering kit for a custom, AI-powered service robot to demonstrate their universal platform for autonomous parcel delivery and escorting guests. Their challenge was to develop a compact, easily assembled kit with sophisticated navigation and control systems, designed for operation in crowded environments like tech events, though not for direct commercial sale.

Promwad developed a complete solution based on the Qualcomm Dragonwing RB3 Gen 2 platform. They integrated advanced navigation with Lidar and cameras, an EtherCAT motor control system, and a neural network model for accurate human segmentation to ensure safe obstacle avoidance. The resulting engineering kit provides clients with an off-the-shelf solution that reduces development time and costs, enabling them to efficiently enter the service robotics market for industries like hospitality, logistics, and healthcare.
