Minsk Research Institute of Radio Materials - Customer Case Study

Promwad partnered with the Minsk Research Institute of Radio Materials to develop Irma, a domestic glucose meter for measuring glucose concentration in human capillary blood. The customer needed a simple, reliable device that could compete with imported analogues on the Belarusian market and potentially support future blood-testing applications.

Promwad designed and built the enclosure, handled PCB layout and software development, produced prototypes and test stands, and prepared molds for batch manufacturing. The Irma glucometer successfully passed clinical trials, received certification as a measurement instrument, became the only domestic glucometer in Belarus, and reached production of a 1,000-unit batch.
