Promwad worked with the Manufacturer of Glucometer Company, a developer and manufacturer of express blood glucose meters, to create a portable glucometer that could attach to iOS and Android smartphones. The customer needed a compact device that could read test strips, communicate with a phone through the audio jack, and support remote patient supervision through a mobile app.

Promwad developed the device hardware, microcontroller firmware, and companion iOS/Android software. The solution used a Texas Instruments MSP430G2553 microcontroller, audio-jack data transfer, and a custom mobile app that decodes measurements, presents guided test flows, and sends results to medical centers or preset recipients.
