Lynx Technik AG migrates FPGA firmware with Promwad to secure mass production and reach 40km fibre links

Lynx Technik AG, a German designer of professional A/V and broadcasting equipment, faced a critical supply chain challenge that threatened a contract for tens of thousands of devices. They needed to migrate their optical data transmitter's firmware from Intel to a Lattice FPGA platform but could not obtain the required development board. Promwad used its partnership to immediately source the Lattice CrossLink-NX dev board and developed the complete FPGA firmware for the transceiver. The solution enabled the successful migration of the hardware, resolving the component supply issue and allowing Lynx Technik AG to ensure mass production of the devices within the originally agreed time frame.
