Lynx Technik AG, a German professional A/V and broadcasting equipment company, required a next-generation FPGA-based solution for real-time, high-definition video signal conversion. Their challenge was to design a bi-directional single-link to quad-link converter that could avoid signal loss during conversion. Promwad designed and delivered a 3G/12G SDI gearbox based on an Intel Cyclone 10 GX FPGA. Their solution included custom hardware design and firmware development, enabling lossless bi-directional conversion between single-link 12G-SDI and quad-link 3G-SDI streams.
