Incyma, a Swiss company specializing in smart home control and automation, needed a hardware and software platform for a prototype HDMI-CEC smart home control device. Promwad was engaged to adapt the existing platform to a new processor and extend it with functions such as HDMI CEC line control, PoE, relays, RTC backup, IR emitter support, and an expanded CLI.

Promwad implemented a flexible, reusable CEC architecture across both hardware-dependent and higher-level software layers, making it easier to add or remove CEC functionality and reuse parts in future devices or a universal CEC library. The solution delivered dual independent CEC line control, HDMI interface enhancements, optional Ethernet power, and timekeeping for up to 4 hours or longer when disconnected, helping Incyma accelerate future device improvements.
