The challenge was to design a dedicated hardware device capable of secure remote access via multiple industrial protocols like Ethernet, RS232/485, and MPI to enable troubleshooting and updates without on-site visits.

The solution from Promwad involved designing a modular PCB based on the NXP i.MX 6ULL SoC, integrating LTE and WiFi modules, and developing custom software on Buildroot Linux.
