Star Finanz blocks malware and trojans with Promon Shield for Mobile™

The customer, Star Finanz, a leading provider of mobile banking software in Germany, faced the challenge of protecting its StarMoney application from sophisticated trojans and malware without requiring continual software updates. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Promon and integrated its Promon SHIELD® security technology.

Promon implemented its whitelisting solution, which protects the application by blocking all unauthorized program access. This approach prevented attacks from both known and unknown malware without impacting performance. An independent security test confirmed the solution's effectiveness by successfully repelling a series of attacks. As a result, Star Finanz was able to offer its customers a more secure product with a new level of integrated protection, all without end-user involvement.
