Monobank reaches 400K clients with Promodo

The customer, Monobank, a mobile branchless bank, faced the challenge of attracting new users to install its app and activate a card while also increasing brand awareness in a market unfamiliar with branchless banking. The vendor, Promodo, was engaged to address this using PPC management services, Google Display Network campaigns, video campaigns, and App Store Optimization (ASO).

Promodo implemented a multi-stage strategy based on the AIDA model, beginning with pre-launch social media and display ads to generate interest. Following the app's release, they utilized CPI campaigns and ASO to drive installs. A holiday video campaign significantly boosted brand visibility, and subsequent remarketing and CPA campaigns targeted users at different engagement stages. As a result, Promodo helped Monobank far exceed its forecasts, achieving 45,000 card activations by January 2018 instead of the projected April date, and growing the customer base to 400,000 clients by September 2018.
