A Promisec Case Study
Bouygues Telecom, a major French communications provider with over 13 million customers, faced a large-scale Windows XP-to-Windows 7 migration and the need to ensure configuration and security compliance across 8,000–10,000 disparate endpoints. To avoid missed machines, compatibility issues and heavy manual effort, Bouygues engaged Promisec and deployed Promisec Endpoint Manager as an agentless solution to inventory, inspect and remediate endpoint configurations and security agents.
Promisec used its agentless Endpoint Manager to scan and remediate AV, SCCM, Java, patching, unauthorized applications, sharing settings and the XP→Windows 7 migration across workstations and servers (extended to 2,000 new servers). The deployment uncovered 2,000 previously unknown workstations, enabled removal of nearly 2,000 unused machines, and improved compliance from roughly 60% to 95% of endpoints in the correct state—drastically reducing manual IT effort and increasing visibility and security across the network.
