Joy Global Uses Prometheus Mobile to Save Time and Improve Data Accuracy

Joy Global, a mining machinery manufacturing and servicing company, faced significant challenges with data accuracy and efficiency in its maintenance operations. Their crews previously recorded maintenance data on paper, which was later manually entered into their SAP system, leading to errors and lost information. Needing a way to capture data offline at remote mine sites and seamlessly integrate with their SAP ECC6 environment, they partnered with the vendor Prometheus Group to evaluate mobile solutions.

Prometheus Group implemented its Prometheus Mobile solution for iOS, which provided the necessary offline functionality and seamless SAP integration. This allowed Joy Global employees to log accurate maintenance data directly at the source, drastically improving data quality for work orders and notifications. The solution improved maintenance efficiency, enabled full offline data capture, and scaled to all of the company's locations in Chile. As a close partner, Joy Global also worked with Prometheus to develop new global product features, such as offline document syncing.
