Netherlands Municipality installs CryptoSpike to protect citizens data from Ransomware attacks

The municipality of Tilburg, a public sector organization in the Netherlands, faced the challenge of protecting sensitive data for over 215,000 citizens from the increasing threat of ransomware. To proactively secure their file shares, they sought a solution beyond standard endpoint protection and turned to vendor ProLion for their CryptoSpike product.

ProLion's CryptoSpike solution provided two layers of protection, using a blocklist and behavior monitoring to stop ransomware with no false positives. The implementation resulted in zero system performance impact and enabled instant data recovery from snapshots. According to a senior IT coordinator, the solution was relatively inexpensive and provided essential peace of mind for the IT department.
