US Retailing Company, a longtime apparel and lifestyle retailer with more than 600 locations worldwide, wanted to eliminate a slow, paper-heavy process for daily store replenishment. The company needed a faster way to use sales data and improve stock visibility so store employees could better serve customers. Prolifics was brought in to help modernize the process with an enterprise mobile application and backend integration.

Prolifics upgraded the retailer’s enterprise service bus to IBM Integration Bus, migrated 60 workflows, and used IBM Worklight to build an enterprise-ready mobile app connected to real-time inventory data. The solution gave managers better visibility into staff performance and product availability, streamlined replenishment tasks, and eliminated the need for an estimated 6 million sheets of paper each year. As a result, US Retailing Company improved efficiency, reduced operating costs, and delivered faster service in stores.
