Fedway, a major New Jersey beverage distributor, partnered with Prolifics to modernize its sales process and address the challenge of providing its constantly moving clients, such as bartenders and store employees, with a more efficient and convenient way to place orders. The goal was to develop a mobile solution that would shorten reorder frequency, reduce errors, and capture more business from competitors.
Prolifics engineered a mobile solution using IBM's MobileFirst Platform, which integrated seamlessly into Fedway's existing infrastructure. The resulting app allowed customers to reorder items by scanning empty containers, providing a new level of service and security. The solution delivered significant results for Fedway, including increased sales and order frequency per customer, a larger average order size, and a decreased number of customer service calls for order corrections.
