Accreditation and Certification Handling Company works with the US government to manage accreditation and certification across a highly regulated industry, processing more than 100 accreditations each week. Its legacy ILOG rules engine was nearing end of service and had become obsolete, tightly coupled to applications, and difficult for business users to manage without heavy IT involvement. Prolifics was brought in to replace it with a modern rules management platform, including IBM WebSphere Operational Decision Management (ODM) Express.

Prolifics migrated three core applications to IBM ODM Express and added governance, validation, and testing capabilities through the Prolifics Decision Model Accelerator, IBM ODM migration tools, and supporting technologies. The result was a more agile and stable rules system that lets business users manage policies independently, improves control and auditability, and speeds deployment. The new solution also supports 5 to 10 transactions per second and serves nearly 14,000 customers.
