Aderant Expert scales to 400 users with Prolifics Testing

A prestigious global law firm faced the challenge of ensuring its global IT infrastructure could support the high load of its new Aderant Expert Billing practice management system, which would be accessed by employees both directly and via Citrix. To validate performance for critical, high-volume activities, the firm engaged Prolifics Testing, which utilized the OpenText LoadRunner tool to conduct comprehensive performance tests.

Prolifics Testing successfully identified and helped resolve significant infrastructure bottlenecks, including upgrading application servers from 8 to 12 cores and increasing their RAM from 16GB to 32GB, and upgrading the SQL server from 16 to 24 cores. They also determined the Citrix farm needed to be increased from 16 to 24 servers to support the required load. Through this solution, Prolifics Testing proved the application could support the intended number of users, giving the client confidence to go live with no performance-related downtime.
