WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, an international specialist in coatings and inks, faced increasing competitive pressure and customer demands. To modernize and expand its production capacities at its Gerhardshofen plant, the company required a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to act as an intermediary between its various control and planning systems. The company partnered with vendor ProLeiT to implement a solution to achieve higher quality, transparency, and on-time delivery.

ProLeiT implemented its Plant iT MES, which included the Batch Orchestration System and a tailored Manual Weighing System add-on. This provided full automation from scheduling to filling, replacing previous manual and semi-automatic processes. The results were significant, with daily production output more than doubling from 50 to 110 metric tons, with a target of 150 tons now within reach. The solution also increased transparency, improved quality, and provided a foundation for future potential.
