Münzing Chemie GmbH, a chemical company supplying additives, faced a critical challenge when its existing PCS7 control system reached full capacity, preventing plant upgrades. The original system vendor recommended a costly hardware and software overhaul. As an alternative, the vendor ProLeiT offered a software migration to its Plant iT system.

ProLeiT implemented its Plant iT system, using Direct iT and Acquis iT modules, primarily through a software replacement on the existing hardware. The solution successfully converted all functionality, simplified operability, and prepared the system for future batch processing. The result was a more expandable and functional automation system with improved transparency, achieved with just seven days of downtime. ProLeiT's work was completed on time, leading the customer to plan further integrations with the new system.
