Ricola, the Swiss manufacturer of herb drops and teas, partnered with automation specialist Kundert Automation to modernize its production processes. Kundert Automation implemented ProLeiT's Plant iT process control system, specifically the Plant Liqu iT solution, to automate and integrate Ricola's production lines at its plant in Laufen, Switzerland.

The solution provided numerous advantages, including a significant reduction in software setup time through the use of ProLeiT's standard libraries. System upgrades were carried out with minimal production disruption, and the implementation greatly improved process transparency and control. Ricola gained the ability to track and trace all manufactured products and is now well-prepared for Industry 4.0 challenges thanks to the high level of data transparency provided by ProLeiT's system.
