Müller - Customer Case Study

Sachsenmilch Leppersdorf GmbH, part of the Müller Group, faced the challenge of expanding its production facility to enter the baby food market with a new product called 'Infantose'. This required building a new factory and implementing a complex, highly automated process control system to meet strict hygiene, quality, and documentation standards. The company turned to long-time partner ProLeiT AG to automate the new 'Molke 5' production line.

ProLeiT implemented its Plant iT process control system (version 7.12) using Simatic S7 controllers to automate the entire Infantose production process. The solution involved integrating ten sub-projects, controlling media supply, and ensuring communication with existing systems, all while adapting to changing project requirements. The successful implementation, completed with minimal plant downtime, allowed Sachsenmilch to begin production in April 2016. ProLeiT's flexible and professional approach laid the foundation for the customer's successful entry into the baby food market.
