Ensinger Mineral-Heilquellen GmbH, a family-run beverage producer, faced a challenge in closing the data gap between its shop floor processes and its commercial ERP system. Their existing ProLeiT Plant iT process control system was effective for automation but couldn't properly communicate production and downtime data to the higher-level business systems, leading to a reliance on manual paper logs and a lack of transparency.

ProLeiT implemented its Plant Acquis iT as a line management system (LMS) integrated with its Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to achieve vertical integration. This solution automated data acquisition, providing real-time production and fault data to the ERP, which eliminated isolated data solutions and manual processes. As a result, Ensinger now benefits from complete data consistency and increased transparency, allowing them to systematically identify optimization potentials and weak points across their production lines.
