A ProLeiT Case Study

Preview of the Henkel Case Study

Consistent automation concept for the production of washing agents

Henkel Waschmittel GmbH, a chemical company, required a consistent, safe, and highly traceable automation solution for its new production line manufacturing compact washing agents in Düsseldorf. The challenge was to implement a process control system that ensured producer liability, meticulous recipe management, and full transparency across the various stages of the complex production process. To meet these needs, Henkel selected a process control system from vendor ProLeiT, specifically its TF 900 technological functions.

ProLeiT implemented a comprehensive automation system that integrated control, operation, and reporting. The solution included the ProLeiT process control system with OS operator stations, which provided menu-based operation to minimize errors, meticulous recipe monitoring, and detailed reporting for full production traceability. The system was successfully linked to Henkel's higher-level SAP R/3 system for seamless order management and data exchange. This provided the customer with the required flexibility, safety, and transparency, safeguarding production and enabling the control and identification of faulty products.
