Almarai, the leading dairy manufacturer in the Middle East, faced the challenge of automating its new Infant Nutritional facility in Riyadh. The complex production required control over both continuous and batch processes to manage the entire value chain. Almarai selected ProLeiT to develop the automation software to integrate with their SAP ERP system and control the production equipment installed by the GEA Group.

ProLeiT implemented a solution using its Plant iT process control system, specifically deploying the Plant Liqu iT module for continuous processes and the Plant Batch iT module for batch operations. This flexible combination provided clear mapping and easier programming of the sub-processes, resulting in a failsafe system for the entire product flow. The solution enabled full tracking and reporting of production from raw material receipt to finished goods, all seamlessly integrated with Almarai’s SAP system.
