Nutrien cultivates an API strategy

Nutrien, the world’s largest provider of crop inputs, services, and solutions, needed a stronger digital strategy to support growers, consultants, and partners across a more connected customer journey. The company turned to ProKarma (PK) to help create the foundational elements of an API program, including support for a customer experience portal, e-commerce capabilities, and other agronomic digital offerings.

ProKarma implemented an API strategy and governance plan, installed the Apigee API Management platform, built initial APIs, and launched an Apigee API Gateway and branded developer portal in just three weeks. The results were significant: the first partner integrated in two weeks instead of months, and more than 12 APIs were published and in use within six months, helping Nutrien accelerate partner integration and improve grower engagement.
