Stork SP Aerospace, part of Stork, develops landing gear and other aerospace systems and was struggling with slow, error-prone document exchange across partners and projects: files were sent by post then email, causing version confusion, full mailboxes and strain on IT and Internet links. To address this, Stork adopted Projectplace — the online ASP collaboration solution from Planview ProjectPlace — to centralize document sharing and team communication.

Planview ProjectPlace implemented Projectplace as a subscription-based, server-hosted workspace that Stork uses to share and collaboratively edit project documents (about 30 regular users out of ~200 staff), invite partners, and maintain a single “common truth.” The result: simpler document management, considerably faster lead times, fewer large-file transfers and less infrastructure strain, and a secure workflow that lets Stork download finalized documents into its own IT system for a single authoritative record.
