SAS Institute, a global business intelligence software provider with more than 40 offices and over 4 million users, needed a way to coordinate documentation and communication across many internal and external projects involving consultants and partners. To address this challenge, SAS Institute adopted Planview ProjectPlace’s Projectplace.com collaboration tool (including its Issue Management feature) to ensure all project parties have easy access to the information they require.

Planview ProjectPlace was used to manage project documentation through feasibility studies and implementations and to track actionable items like bugs and change requests via Issue Management. The solution increased transparency and streamlined collaboration—making allocation and follow‑up simple through email integration—and enabled SAS Institute to more effectively coordinate work across internal teams and external partners.
