Florida Virtual Campus Uses Projectplace to Manage Projects, People and Portfolio

Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC), the statewide K–20 educational services provider for Florida, faced a tight, legislatively driven deadline to overhaul its website and meet student needs. With 18 team members scattered across the state, more than 20 stakeholders, multiple external vendors and an out-of-state design firm, FLVC needed a way to coordinate a two‑phase rollout quickly. The organization chose Planview ProjectPlace as the collaboration and project management tool to bring the dispersed team together.

Planview ProjectPlace was implemented as a centralized hub for planning, task management, communications and document storage; FLVC piloted the solution and adopted it rapidly. The new website launched within the required timeframe, 90% of respondents reported improved team communication with conversations consolidated in ProjectPlace, and 100% could access project documents (up from 30% before), while reliance on email declined. Integration with Planview Enterprise further enabled portfolio and resource visibility, demonstrating measurable gains in execution and collaboration.
